Caloundra is at the southern end of the Sunshine Coast, with Kings Beach and Bulcock Beach on its doorstep and Golden Beach, Pelican Waters, Currimundi and Little Mountain nearby. The housing is a mix of older beachside homes and units, canal properties and newer estates, so the plumbing varies a lot from one street to the next.
We have not completed a job in Caloundra itself, and we will not claim to. Our closest job is in Nirimba, just inland and sharing the 4551 postcode. In March 2026 we were asked to find where water was getting into a home. We safely accessed the roof, checked the sheeting, flashings, penetrations and gutters, then went into the ceiling space. There was no clear roof leak. The more likely cause was condensation from heat building up in the roof cavity while the ducted air conditioning ran, so we recommended resealing tired penetrations, replacing loose roofing screws and adding roof ventilation.
Caloundra is in the Sunshine Coast Council area and Unitywater provides its water and sewerage. Unitywater handles the meter and the street mains. Any leak, blockage or fault on your side of the meter is the property owner's to fix, using a licensed plumber.
Some Caloundra properties are holiday lets or investment units that sit empty for weeks. Taps, cisterns and hot water systems that are not used can start to drip or stick, so a check before guests arrive can save a call at a bad moment.
