Most people do not ring a plumber with a service name in mind. They ring because the shower has gone cold, the toilet will not stop running or there is a wet patch on the ceiling that was not there last week. You do not need to work out the right category before you call. Describe what you can see, hear or smell and we will work out the rest.
If water is running where it should not, sewage is coming up or you can smell gas, treat it as urgent. Turn the water off at the meter if you can, keep people away from any gas smell and call 1300 307 903. Torna offers an after-hours emergency service for exactly these jobs, and stopping the damage early usually keeps the repair smaller.
Gas appliances and gas hot water systems can only be connected and repaired by a licensed gas fitter.
