Redlands plumber
The Redlands covers a lot of ground, from the bayside streets of Ormiston, Wellington Point and Cleveland to the established blocks of Alexandra Hills and Capalaba and the newer pockets of Thornlands. The homes are just as varied, and so is the plumbing behind the walls. That is why we look at the job in front of us before we quote it, then give you one fixed price that does not change once we start.
A lot of our Redlands work this year has been hot water. In Cleveland we replaced a 250 litre system installed inside the home that had started leaking from the base. Because it sits indoors, we fitted the new one in the existing safe tray and added an automatic shut-off valve that closes the water if a leak is detected. In Alexandra Hills a gas unit at a rental kept losing its pilot light, so we inspected it, explained why repair was not worth it, and installed a new LPG storage system the next day.
Not every leak is easy to see. In Capalaba a stain on a bedroom ceiling turned out to be a leaking copper water pipe in the roof space, which we cut out and replaced. In Ormiston a shower mixer could only be replaced properly from behind the wall, so we opened up the adjoining room rather than wreck the tiles. If you notice damp patches, a water bill that jumps or the meter ticking over with every tap off, call before it spreads.
Water and sewerage in the Redlands are supplied by Redland City Council. As a general rule, the council looks after the main in the street and the meter, and the pipes on your side of the meter are the owner's. If the fault is on the council side, we tell you straight away and help you report it, so you do not pay a plumber for work that is not yours to fix.
Landlords and property managers across the Redlands use us for rental repairs too. Joseph is a licensed plumber and gas fitter, quotes are free, and every job carries our lifetime workmanship guarantee.
