The Gold Coast runs from the northern growth areas around Coomera down to the southern beaches, and the plumbing questions change with the type of home. Newer estates tend to raise questions about toilet suites, tapware and hot water sizing, while older beachside houses and units are more likely to need leak tracing, tap and toilet repairs, or a hot water system at the end of its life.
Torna Plumbing has spent almost a decade servicing South East Queensland, but we have completed only a handful of Gold Coast jobs so far. We would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise. If you are on the coast, call first and we will give you an honest time, booking coast jobs around existing work where we can. In Upper Coomera we resealed roof penetrations where water was getting in, and in Southport we checked reported leaks and a pool backwash connection, then explained the options.
A leak under a slab or in the yard can run for months without leaving an obvious puddle, especially on sandy ground where water drains away quickly. Watch for a water bill that jumps, the meter dial moving while every tap is off, damp grout or skirting boards. A pressure test with the meter closed is a quick way to confirm a leak after the meter, which is what we did at a Burleigh Heads home in May 2026.
A damp patch behind the pan, a toilet that rocks or a faint smell in the bathroom often points to a failed pan connector. On back-to-wall suites the fix means lifting the toilet to reach the connection, which is what we did in Reedy Creek in October 2026. Catching it early protects the floor and the wall behind it.
Water and sewerage on the Gold Coast are managed by the City of Gold Coast. The meter and the pipes in the street belong to the council, and everything on your side of the meter is the owner's.
